Activities
Three main activities are the focus of the group: weekly rallies, treks and games.

We pride ourselves on offering top class education from well known and respected instructors.

 

Onewhero Family Riding Group is moving to rallies on a Wednesday evening 6pm and Sunday afternoon 2pm to facilitate more community members attending. We are keen to hear what activities members might like on the rally days and in between.

Treks are organized over farm and crop land with the permission of local landowners some of whom are members of the group. We also travel to Waiuku Forest and Port Waikato to offer variety. This also gives people a chance to ride in the forest and beach if they have never been there before. For the coming season we hope to hold 2 treks a month on alternating Saturdays and Sundays for convenievce.

All activities aim to assist people by establishing a structured and sociable environment in which to ride and learn about all aspects of horsemanship and include games, events, ribbon days, instruction, and showjumping and dressage training evenings.
